The Mod Squad is a 1999 American action thriller film directed by Scott Silver, based on the television show of the same name. Starring Claire Danes, Omar Epps, and Giovanni Ribisi, the film follows a trio of young criminals who work for the police to avoid jail time. Released by Metro Goldwyn Mayer on March 26, 1999, it was panned by critics and was a box office bomb, grossing only $15.4 million out of its $21 million budget.
